Going too fast for conditions is being blamed for a boat capsizing and sending three people into the water. The highway patrol says it happened around 5:20 Saturday afternoon near the 1.3 mile mark of the Gravois Arm. The driver of the Cigarette boat, 55-year-old Troy Garison of Lees Summit was uninjured. Two occupants, 38-year-old Audra Erk of Pleasant Hill and 48-year-old Dawn Briney of Ozawke, Kansas, suffered moderate injuries and were treated at Lake Regional. Minor damage was reported to the boat.
