Two people are alive following an incident on the water near Ha Ha Tonka State Park.
Mid-County Fire Chief Scott Frandsen tells KRMS News that one of the unnamed individuals allegedly jumped into the water and was pulled under by the current.
He says the other individual, a bystander who witnessed the incident, jumped in the water and was able to rescue the first person.
The two then ended up stranded on the opposite side of the shoreline and were rescued by firefighters on the District’s fireboat.
Both individuals were given treatment at the scene and released without injuries.
