Two people from out of state are hospitalized after a head-on collision in Camden County. The Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor. 52-year old Shane Russell of Rogers, Arkansas went over the center line on Highway 5 shortly before 9:30 Thursday night. His vehicle struck a car driven by 26-year old Kiri Gibson of Sand Springs, Oklahoma head-on. A state trooper took Russell to Lake Regional, while Gibson was transported by ambulance. Both were seriously injured. Gibson was wearing a seatbelt. Russell was not. Russell faces pending charges of DWI causing serious physical injury, careless & imprudent driving involving an accident, and a seat belt violation.
