Two Seriously Hurt in Morgan County Accident

Two lake area residents are seriously injured in a one-car accident on Proctor Road, east of Teachels Way, in Morgan County.

The highway patrol report shows that it happened Thursday night when 19-year-old James Lutjen, of Versailles, failed to negotiate a curve sending the off the roadway striking a tree.

Lutjen and his passenger, 23-year-old Shawn Edgar of Gravois Mills, were both taken to Lake Regional.

Neither had been wearing a seat belt at the time.
