One person is dead and another injured after a boat explosion at Lake of the Ozarks. The highway patrol says it happened early Sunday afternoon when the boat they were on exploded after re-fueling at the 31-milemark in Camden County. A bystander in the area, reportedly, was able to help get two occupants of the boat to safety but not before they suffered serious burns. 58-year-old Susan Abele-Burns, of Eldorado Springs, and 76-year-old Ronald Moore, of Nevada, suffered serious burns and were both flown to University Hospital where Moore was pronounced dead several hours later. The operator of the boat, James Holcomb of Nevada, was apparently uninjured in the explosion which is being considered fuel and propulsion/generator related.
