One Lake Area municipality will not be working with Uber any time soon. A representative from the company reached out to multiple municipalities in the area, including Osage Beach and Lake Ozark. Lake Ozark City Administrator Dave Van Dee says they already have regulations in place that taxi drivers have to follow. He says those will not change until they have to and they won’t be making an exception for a rideshare company.
Currently in Lake Ozark, a business such as that requires a local business license, where the Uber Bill does not. The city will have until the bill goes into effect on August 28th to make the necessary changes.
