This year’s underwater pumpkin carving benefit for the Tri-County YMCA will be taking place this weekend. This annual event takes place at public beach # 2 in the Lake of the Ozarks State Park in Osage Beach where guys from all ages attempt to win first place by carving a pumpkin under water. Tim Mcnitt with Atlantis Dive and Salvage explains how it’s done
Mcnitt says they will throw on their diving gear and take the pumpkin into the water
McNitt says besides the carving, there are plenty of events for the kids to take part in as well
The Tri-County YMCA is still trying to collect enough funds to build their new swimming pool and events like this one are what is helping them get 1 step closer to that goal. The event takes place this Sunday from 1-3pm.
