Unemployment Skyrockets Across The State

The unemployment rate has skyrocketed across the nation and it’s no different in Missouri. Officials with the U.S. Department of Labor say nearly 3.3 Million people have filed for unemployment benefits since last week, of those over 42,000 are Missourians for the week ending March 21st…more than ten times the number of initial claims from just the week before.  The 3.3 million number, nationwide, shatters the previous record of 695,000 set in 1982.
