The state’s unemployment rate remained steady in May, coming in at 3.3%. Just over 101,000 out of more than three million people in the civilian labor force were unemployed. The Department of Economic Development says 2500 jobs were added last month. Overall employment has grown by 31,000 jobs over the course of the last year. Health Care and Social Assistance jobs are up by nearly 11,000, while the accommodation and food services industry has added 10,400 jobs.
