UPDATE: Authorities with K9’s and the highway patrol helicopter converged on the area of highway C west of Russellville around 9:00 Monday morning after a passerby reported a possible sighting of the two. The subjects were seen walking into a wooded area from an open field where the mother’s vehicle was, reportedly, located. 4-year-old Grayson Darnell was allegedly taken from his custodial parents house in Warsaw sometime around 3:00 Sunday morning. The suspect identified in the incident is identified as 36-year-old Julie Darnell. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two should immediately call 9-1-1.
An endangered person advisory has been issued for a four-year-old boy, allegedly, taken by a non-custodial parent from a home in Warsaw. The highway patrol says the advisory was issued by the Benton County Sheriff’s Department after Grayson Darnell was taken from the home of his custodial grandparents on West Gold Street during the early morning hours of Sunday. Police identify the suspect as 36-year-old Julie Darnell…a white female, 5’2”, 125 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Darnell is further described as bi-polar with drug-induced schizophrenia and believed to be using methamphetamines. The vehicle used in the incident was a 2006 red Buick Lucerne with Missouri plates MR7-U6E. Anyone with information on the vehicle or the suspect should immediately call 9-1-1.
