A fire at Hurricane Deck Elementary School this afternoon was caused by an apparent short circuit in an electrical outlet, according to Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Chief Dennis Reilly:

Reilly says power was quickly turned off to the building and the school was evacuated:

Classes resumed a short time later.
