A former Camden County commission candidate was being held on a $100,000 bond on multiple charges after an incident over the weekend at his home. 47-year-old John P. Williams was being held at the Camden County Jail, charged with domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, felonious restraint and kidnapping. According to the sheriff’s office, Williams was arrested after an incident involving a family member. No details were released. Williams was a candidate in 2008 for the Camden County Commission, and had been mentioned as a possible candidate for the upcoming 2012 elections.
