Christina White, the Miller County woman accused of of killing her seven-month-old son by setting his blanket on fire, withdrew her “not guilty” plea, and acknowledged prosecutors have enough evidence to win a conviction…on second-degree murder, first-degree arson, and child endangerment charges. Prosecutors say the baby suffered severe burns over 60 percent of his body and died 20 days after she set fire to his blanket at her home in Iberia. Under the terms of yesterday’s so-called Alford plea, White does not admit guilt but concedes the government has sufficient evidence to win a conviction, and faces 10 years to life in prison when she is sentenced later this summer.
