The accident happened on Bagnell Dam Boulevard, between Paul’s supermarket and Baxter’s Bar and Grill. The bus was damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Business 54 was closed for about an hour-and-a-half.
It was the second school bus accident in less than a week in the Lake area. Six students sustained minor injuries last Friday when a Climax Springs R-IV bus that ran off the road and overturned on Route FF in northwest Camden County after hitting a patch of black ice. The students all returned to class on Monday.
