The Overland Park, Kansas, man behind the wheel of a boat which slammed into a rock bluff early
Saturday morning killing three passengers faces criminal charges. The water patrol division of the
highway patrol says 22-year-old Hayden Frazier is charged with three counts of BWI resulting in the
death of another, one count of BWI-serious injury and negligent operation of a vessel. It’s alleged that
Frazier was operating the boat which hit the bluff at the 47.5 mile mark of the main channel. Two
passengers who were ejected into the water and another on the boat were pronounced dead at the
scene while a fourth passenger was seriously hurt. Frazier escaped with moderate injuries. Nobody on
the boat had been wearing a safety device at the time.
Others on the boat were identified as: 24-year-old Daniel Lewis of Overland Park, KS (fatal); 23-year-old Joseph Lemark of Overland Park, KS (fatal); 21-year-old Ashley Lamb of Olathe, KS (serious injuries); and 21-year-old Hailey Hochanadel of Olathe, KS (fatal).
