The US Marine Corps Police Academy program is relocating to Fort Leonard Wood from its original home in San Diego.
Officials say the decision to move saves the Department of Defense over 4.5 Million dollars and gives students of the academy access to state-of-the-art training facilities.
Fort Leonard Wood is also the home of the US Army’s Military Police School and academy.
The new Marine Corps Academy is expected to have around 300 students per year.
