One of the three suspects believed to be involved in a murder that started in Sunrise Beach and ended in Columbia will be in court Tuesday. 42-year old Desre’ Dory of Shawnee, Kansas will be in a Boone County court room in Columbia for a hearing. He is charged with second degree murder in the death of William Van Note. Van Note was found shot and stabbed in his Sunrise Beach home in October of 2010. He was taken to a Columbia hospital where he died. Prosecutors say Dory, along with his wife Stacy and Van Note’s daughter Susan, forged a note that took William off of life support. Dory’s trial is set to start next Tuesday also in Boone County Court in Columbia.
