A suspect in a 2010 Sunrise Beach murder case is due in court on Monday afternoon. Stacy Dory of Shawnee, Kansas is scheduled to be in a Boone County court room on Monday afternoon for a hearing. Dory’s attorney filed for a continuance in the case last week. Dory is charged with second degree murder and forgery in the death of William Van Note. Van Note was found shot and stabbed in his Sunrise Beach home in October of 2010. He was taken to a Columbia hospital where authorities say Dory, along with her husband Desre and Van Note’s daughter Susan allegedly forged a do not resuscitate order. Van Note died a few days later. Dory’ trial was supposed to start last December and is now scheduled to start next Tuesday. She remains free on bond.
