The trial for a woman accused of killing her father and his longtime girlfriend continues this week. So far, the case against Susan Van Note has shown that her phone was pinged near Sunrise Beach on the night William Van Note and Sharon Dickson were attacked. She had previously stated she was in Lee’s Summit at the time. Susan is also accused of forging a Power of Attorney to have her father taken off life support following the attack. The defense has now acknowledged that this is true, however, their claim is that she could not find the original documents signed by her father. The defense also points out that no DNA evidence traced back to Susan was found at the scene.
