Vehicle Versus House, Power Lines Knocked Down in Iberia

A report of a vehicle slamming into a house in the Iberia area leads to some anxious moments. That’s according to the Iberia Fire Department which says it happened Wednesday afternoon in the 700-block of Highway-42. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the vehicle jumped a concrete patio striking the house near a door and that two sets of nearby power lines had been knocked to the ground. The porch area was braced up to remove the vehicle and repairs made to the power lines by Gascosage. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
