Versailles Man Arrested For Trying to Have Sex With Underage Girls

A 28-year old Versailles man is in custody in Lafayette County after he allegedly tried to arrange to have sex with two girls under the age of 14.  The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department says the arrest is the result of an online undercover chat operation.  The probable cause statement says a detective started a conversation with Bryan Meador in April and another detective started a conversation with Meador in May.  Meador allegedly offered money to what he thought were two 14-year old girls for sex.  Meador was arrested on Friday after his wife discovered text messages on his phone to the two girls who were really the detectives.  He is charged with enticement of a child.  Meador is currently on probation for endangering the welfare of a child.
