A Versailles man is off to the department of corrections after having his probation revoked in Morgan County.

27-year-old Christopher Johnson was initially arrested and bonded out in March, 2019, on original charges of possessing a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.

Only hours later, Johnson was then behind the wheel in a DWI wreck with the same child he was ordered by the court not to be around in the car with him.

Appearing in circuit court this week, Johnson’s probation was yanked and he was sentenced to six years on the endangering charge and seven years on the possession charge. The sentences are to be served concurrently.
