Two teens from Versailles are facing felony charges after allegedly stealing items from an area business and attempting to sell them at school. 17-year old Coby Stark and Chase Bright are each charged with felonies for second-degree burglary and misdemeanor stealing. According to court documents, Bright allegedly entered the Damm-Simmons store around 4am February 11th, stealing cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs, and smoking pipes while Stark stood watch outside. The stolen items were found in a bag in the boys’ possession along with metal grinders and scales. Both teens told police a third individual was involved but refused to name him. Teachers at the school overhead conversations about the burglary and notified the school resource officer. Authorities were also able to recover Snapchat videos of the boys trying to sell the merchandise.
