A grant approved by the Trump Administration is going to boost the police department for the city of Vienna.

Officials say the USDA grant will provide $16,000 to purchase a new police interceptor car, which will help aid the local law enforcement in protecting the more than 600 residents along US 63 and HWY 42 in Maries County.

The current car the city has been using is already over 100,000 miles and is nearly 11-years-old.
