A candelight vigil is being organized for Blake Litton, the three-year-old Stover boy authorities say died after being beaten, allegedly by his mother’s boyfriend. 21-year-old Thomas Presley and 25-year-old Jamie Ann Litton are each being held on $100,000 cash-only bond, both charged with second-degree murder. Morgan County Sheriff Jim Petty:
Presley and Litton initially tried to blame the little boy’s death on a hit-and-run accident. Petty says investigators found inconsistencies in their stories, and became more suspicious when they discovered there were no skid marks on the road where the toddler was allegedly struck and his injuries were inconsistent with being hit by a car:
The community of Stover will pay tribute to Blake Litton on Thursday at 5:00 p.m., with a march around the Morgan County R-1 school, ending in Stover Park.
