Missouri’s waiver for parts of the no child left behind act has been extended by the U.S. Department of Education. Missouri was one of several States that received a waiver which has been renewed for one year. It was reported that the state has already implemented education reforms that exceed the requirements of no child left behind. The 2001 law requires states to set benchmarks for achievement in math and English.
