The sound of warning sirens were heard Tuesday afternoon around the Lake and across the state as part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Camden County Emergency Management Director Denise Russell says they are focused on getting people to do something that isn’t happening right now: paying attention to the siren. Severe Weather Preparedness Week is about what you can do to take a stand against severe weather. That includes taking appropriate actions before, during and after extreme weather by knowing your risk, having a plan, building an emergency preparedness kit and staying informed.
