The Warsaw R9 Board of Education met recently in regular session. Items on their agenda included reviewing a suggested MSBA policy revision which was approved. They also adopted a resolution which authorizes them to issue and sell $7 million in general obligation refunding bonds to reduce future interest expense, saving over $1 million dollars. Administrators have noted that attendance records in the school district show that they close to a general 90% which is about average for school districts. The district is submitting a survey to it’s students, teachers and parents to help form a district wide mission statement which they’re hoping to have that completed sometime this year.
