Local police departments say they’re getting more and more reports of vehicle accidents with deer. Most of them take place at dawn and dusk, when the deer are active. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources urges caution, when driving. This time of year, young deer, whose mother’s have new fawns, are venturing out of their home territories for the first time. Troopers suggest watching road shoulders closely and giving the horn a blast, if you see one by the side of the road.
