The results are in from this year’s Operation Dry Water, the Water Patrol’s high-profile enforcement effort aimed at detecting and arresting impaired boaters. Water Patrol officers made a total of 20 arrests for Boating While Intoxicated statewide over the weekend. 15 of those DWI arrests were on the Lake of the Ozarks, where 179 boaters on 147 vessels were checked and a total of 43 citations were issued. In addition, 196 Warnings for other safety violations were issued. The Water Patrol says special enforcement operations will continue throughout the summer months.
