Wednesday Weather Caused over 30 Crashes

Wednesday morning’s dose of winter weather caused a number of wrecks across the listening area. Troop F of the Highway Patrol responded to 144 calls for service prior to 2pm. That included 36 crashes, 56 stranded motorists, and one injury. There was a rollover accident near the Sunrise Beach Community Center in which a woman was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle. It’s believed she suffered minor injuries. There was also an accident involving two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer on Highway C in Morgan County. There were no injuries reported in that wreck.
