Today we stop and pause to remember 9-11…it’s the 16th annual remembrance of the horrific attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Nearly 3000 were killed in the attacks including 343 firefighters in New York. Over the weekend, the Lake Area did its part in remembering that day by hitting the pavement for the 4th annual 911 Freedom Run…a 5k run/walk through parts of Lake Ozark. Turning in the fastest time (19:33.6) Brayden Wickham who was competing in the 19-and-under male class. Mike Malone, Quentin Ahart, Stacy Roberts and Edward Doney rounded out the top five finishers. They were followed by the two women turning in the fastest times for the females…Katie Roberts in 6th and Paula O’Connor in 7th.
