A former 2nd District Camden County commission candidate accused of five felonies is free on bond after a judge’s reduction on Wednesday. John Williams posted a $5,000 bond yesterday, reduced from $100,000, on charges of 2nd degree domestic assault, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon, kidnapping, and armed criminal action. In a probable cause statement, an unidentified woman accuses Williams of holding her hostage in a Jeep Cherokee on Friday, pulling a .40 caliber Glock pistol and threatening her with it on Saturday, and arguing about an alleged affair. Williams was arrested Monday after the alleged incidents.
