We could get a significant winter blast lasting into the early morning hours of Tuesday. A winter weather advisory is in effect. The forecast calls for up to three inches of snow and freezing drizzle, with a possible glaze of ice to top it all off. Temperatures should stay in the upper 30’s today and drop a little Tuesday, when the high is expected to reach just 31. Tuesday’s weather will be aided by sunny skies. As always, use extra caution and allow plenty of drive time in the event of severe weather. It’s also a good time to make sure you’ve got a safety kit in your vehicle in case you get stranded. Your kit should include high-protein snack foods, water, safety flares, a phone charger, and blankets or extra clothing to stay warm.
The annual Veterans Day ceremonies in the Camdenton R-III School District that was scheduled for this morning has been postponed due to the winter weather in the forecast. The ceremony has been pushed back to Tuesday morning.
