A lake area woman with at least three pending cases has been arrested by the Highway Patrol. 33-year old Alta Collins was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Miller County jail following an arrest just after 11:30 Wednesday night. She faces pending charges for escaping from custody, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, and a seatbelt violation. Collins also had a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance from Camden County. Courthouse records indicate that she’s had cases filed June 28th for burglary, forgery, stealing, and possession; July 19th for possession and paraphernalia, and July 21st for possession.
