New figures just released today show that women working full time in Missouri are paid on average about ten thousand dollars a year less than men. The report also points out that every state has a gender-based wage gap. Nationally, women are paid an average of 77 cents for every dollar paid to men. In other findings, about 68 percent of missouri working mothers bring in more than a quarter of their families’ income. Women also head more than 292-thousand households in Missouri. The research was conducted by The National Partnership for Women and Families and the American Association of University Women.
