The family of a disabled man killed when he was forced to fight by employees at the independent living facility he stayed in will use settlement money to benefit Wonderland Camp. Carl DeBrodie’s body was found encased in concrete in April of 2017. His mother, Carolyn Summers, is using the settlement reached in his death to make a sizeable donation to the camp’s endowment fund. The interest generated from the donation will be used to help fund operating expenses at the camp, which provides outdoor activities for disabled people of all ages.
