Officials says a man has pled guilty and was sentenced, but not according to a recommendation from Miller County Prosecutor Bern Winfrey. On January 6th, Zane C. Wood pled guilty to raping a then 14-year-old female following his arrest in April 2015. By pleading guilty without an agreement, means that Wood will accept any punishment recommended by the Judge. The Class “C” Felony carries up to seven years in prison. Winfrey adds he is not questioning the judge’s decision or commenting on it, just clarifying that this was not an agreed upon disposition…
