Osage Beach has announced the plan for this year’s leaf removal campaign. As usual, Public Works Superintendent Rick King says residents will be asked to rake their leaves to the roadside curb or buy bio-degradable bags for pickup, beginning November 5th. This year, the city has two machines. One will start on Lazy Days Road working east, the other will start on Jeffries Road working west until, they meet in the middle. Leaves bagged in regular plastic trash bags will not be picked up by Public Works. Only bio-degradable bags with leaves will be taken. The plan, of course, is dependant on the weather. “Obviously if it’s not pouring down rain or, hopefully, not snowing,” King says.
