It’s a popular line we’ve heard hundreds of times from a classic holiday movie, but according to a recent study, it’s no joke. Health officials at Children’s Hospital in Columbus analyzed injury data for air rifles, paintball guns, bb and pellet guns dating back to 1990.
That’s Dr. Chris Sampson, an emergency medicine doctor at University Hospital. He says if you are considering giving a projectile weapon for Christmas, or if you use them at any time of the year,make sure you emphasize safety, including wearing protective goggles.
