It’s a problem that really hasn’t exactly been sneaking up on society and, no doubt, will continue into the new year. It’s the trend of criminal offenders starting at a younger age and the offenses tending to be more violent. Sergeant Arlyne Page, a 36-year veteran in law enforcement retiring from Osage Beach to take a position for the Camden County Sheriff’s Department, says you can point the finger of blame at video games and TV.
Page goes onto say that several other factors, such as background and family life, are also often part of the problem. However, she is hopeful that the trend of more violent crimes being committed by the younger generation will start to slow down over the next several years.
