A 29-year-old Barnett man is taken into custody on a felony warrant for making a terrorist threat and on a misdemeanor warrant for animal abuse.
The probable cause statement filed in Morgan County alleges the incident in mid-January started as a reported domestic disturbance involving threats of violence when an unnamed victim tried to stop David Olivares from choking and kicking his own dog.
Olivares told the man that he was leaving to grab a gun so he could shoot him in the face.
A stop and hold was issued for Olivares who was taken into custody about an hour later by Osage Beach police before continuing at the hospital to make his threats that he was going to shoot the other man.
Olivares was being held on a $20,000 bond with his arraignment scheduled for this week.
