A 26-year-old man from Dixon faces several charges and driving-related offenses after being arrested late Tuesday night by the highway patrol in Miller County.

The probable cause statement alleges that the sequence of events started in Morgan County when Korey Nelson was approached at a Versailles gas station by an officer asking about some damage to the vehicle.

Nelson then allegedly took off at a high rate of speed on northbound 5-and-52 and was driving erratically before trying to turn onto Wilkes Creek Road where the car hit a house.

Nelson was able to maneuver back onto highway 52 and into Eldon before being caught by the highway patrol.

Nelson is charged with aggravated fleeing, property damage, leaving the scene of an accident and several other driving offenses including DWI.

Bond was set at $100,000.
