While the forecast isn’t looking all that good for roadwork to be done this week, the Department of Transportation is out and about trying to get some routine maintenance done before the clouds open up.
Central District Area Engineer Danny Roeger says that motorists need to be prepared should they come across any bridge flushing operations around the lake area.
“This is cleaning the residual salt and abrasives from winter operations out of the gutter line, keeping our bridges in good condition so that all that all those chemicals don’t just sit and rot out the bridge deck.”
Roeger also says that litter clean-up along the roadways also continues around the lake area.
