Looking back at the winter storm over the weekend, MoDOT says all went pretty much according to plans with road crews hitting the primary and continuous routes first.

Highway 54 cross the listening area, highway 5 Highway 7 locally Highway, 52 Highway 42 Highway 17 essentially the numbered routes.”

Central District Area Engineer Danny Roeger also says, with the heavy snow that was forecasted, credit also goes to the motoring public which heeded the advice of many to just stay put.

Just want to thank all of you for your contributed efforts and to getting the roads cleared staying off the roads, allowing our crew members to do their jobs and get everything cleared.”

In the lake area, the highway patrol reported only two traffic accidents…both with serious injuries to the drivers…one early Saturday morning on Y-Highway in Miller County and the other late Sunday night on Carol Road off the Horseshoe Bend Parkway.
