Urbana Woman Killed After Jumping From Moving Truck

A woman from Urbana is dead after jumping from the 2006 International she was riding in before getting struck by the trailer tandems and then another vehicle.

The highway patrol says it happened shortly after 3:00 Thursday morning on U-S 54 east of Weaubleau, in Hickory County.

33-year-old Lacey Ritch was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 52-year-old man also from Urbana, and the driver of the car, a 52-year-old woman from Hermitage, were not injured.
