Old Camden County Courthouse Renovations Nearly Compelted

There’s light at the end of the tunnel for refurbishing and renovation work being done to the old Camden County Courthouse.

“I have signed documents stating that we are substantially complete. What that means is that we are in a position to where our offices can move back in. We can start operating and and getting procedures done there in what we are calling now the administration building.”

Skelton also says the changes and improvements made to the various offices will provide for a better overall atmosphere in the administration building.

“The folks of the county appreciate a better place to work, a better environment, something that’s a little more updated and and better to work with. And I hope that the public will enjoy the new digs as well.”

Currently, the offices back in their normal spots include the auditor, treasurer, accounts payable, the county clerk and the recorder.

The collector and assessor’s offices should be back in sometime within the next two weeks.
