Floodgates Opening for Turbine Work at Bagnell Dam

Some of the floodgates are opening up at Bagnell Dam.

The Camden County Emergency Management Agency says the Corps of Engineers says two additional gates were to be opened to allow for service work on two turbines and not based on any emergency.

Opening the gates will raise the downstream level on the Osage River about two feet but remain within working parameters for the dam.

The gates are expected to remain opened until sometime on Friday.
