As the war with Iran continues into its second week and fears of a global energy crisis also increase, how high will gas prices go…?
John Quigley is a Senior Fellow at the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. He says prices will most likely continue to rise:
“I’ve seen projections of $0.75 increase in gasoline prices over the next two months if the hostilities continue.”
According to the Triple-A, gas prices have increased by 14 percent in the past week.
The national average as of Sunday was reported to be $3.45 per gallon.
Here in the lake area, the Triple-A reported $2.94 as the average price per gallon of regular unleaded in Camden County, $2.98 in Miller County, $2.99 in Morgan County and $3.00 per gallon in Benton County.
