Honda is recalling nearly 100,000 vehicles due to potential air bag issues.

The recall says certain vehicle models have a front passenger seat weight sensor that may crack and short circuit, thus causing the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

Several models and brands are affected, including Honda’s RDX, MDX, Ridgeline, Pilot, Passport, Odyssey, Insight, HRV, CRV and all models of the Civic, along with the Acura TLX, all of which were manufactured between 2016 and 2026.

If your vehicle is affected, your dealer will replace the seat weight sensors free of charge.

The company says owners will be notified in July by mail.
